After a cat leaves the litter box and the preset delay has passed, the M9 separates clumps from clean litter and moves waste into a drawer. Owners should still follow the setup and safety guidance in the user manual.

The entry is 10.2 inches (26 cm) high, helping smaller and older cats step in and out more easily. A protective kitten accessory is included. It is required for kittens under 4 months old, under 4.4 pounds (2 kg), or shorter than 9.8 inches (25 cm) in body length.
Less Scooping and Smarter Daily Monitoring
The M9 has a 6 L waste drawer. In a one-cat home, it can provide around 7–10 days between waste-emptying sessions, depending on use. Owners can also use the Neakasa app to check litter box activity, review trends, adjust cleaning settings and see maintenance reminders.
