Most cats can adjust to M9 with a little time and encouragement. Give your cat about a week to get used to the new litter box, especially if they are sensitive to changes. To help your cat get comfortable with the new litter box:
1. Keep some familiar litter.
When switching to M9, add a small amount of litter your cat has already used. Keeping the same litter your cat is familiar with at first can also make the transition easier.
2. Use treats to encourage exploration.
Place some of your cat’s favorite treats near the entrance to help them discover and approach the new litter box.
3. Let shy cats adjust at their own pace.
For more timid cats, use the manual cleaning mode for the first few days. Once your cat is comfortable using M9 normally, you can switch to automatic cleaning.
4. Use the kitten protective accessory for young kittens.
Kittens weighing less than 2 kg (4.4 lbs), measuring less than 25 cm (9.8 in) in length, or under 4 months old must use the kitten protective accessory.
See the user manual for installation instructions.
