The M1 automatic cat litter box effectively handles clumping or scoopable waste. However, it's not compatible with highly absorbent, non-clumping, loosely clumping, newspaper, or wood pellet litters. The M1's maximum filter sifts particles up to 3mm in diameter and 10mm in length. We recommend using fast-clumping, non-strip, granular litter like bentonite cat litter or mineral sand.
Neakasa M1 features open-top spacious design, it almost does not have a weight limit. But we recommend it for cats weighing 2.2-33 lbs for the best comfort. If your kitty is less than 2.2 lbs, we suggest choose our special Kitten Mode to prevents automatic cleaning and ensure kitty safe.
• Cats are generally curious and tend to investigate new things. Some cats will do its' business after the automatic litter box is ready.
• For other cats who have not adapted to the automatic litter box, you can add some used cat litter to help them get familiar with it (when replacing the litter box, it's recommended to continue using the old litter at first).
• You can also place the M1 Automatic Litter Box in the same location as the original litter box.

I had the Litter Robot before. This is far superior. It's not as messy and much easier to clean and maintain.
originally bought a robo litter box but my cat did not like it at all, i think the open concept design of this one is so much more comfortable for my cat. definitely helps with the smell and easier clean up. it was so easy to set up and love the app as well. i’ve had it for about a week, so i’m interested to see how it holds up.

This is my 3rd different brand of automatic litter box and I have to say, based on different factors, is my favorite. My comparison is using a OneIsAll and a litter robot. Price: for what I am getting, the box, the app and the free service the price wins out. Not the cheapest on the market but I think best for value. Setup: easiest of the 3. Sound: Definitely the quietest. I can barely hear it and it is only about 15 ft from my workspace. Capacity: the waste drawer is easy to use and I think the volume is a bit more. So far it’s the best at limiting litter from sticking to the rake mechanism. I thought it would be worse based on it being plastic. On both of the other stainless steel ones I had to treat the rake with a not stick product. The one specifically for this purpose is expensive and not that effective. Smell: I think all three of them have been good, but the Neakasa has a stick on barrier that is meant to keep odor in I think. It also came with a replacement strip of it as well. Safety: much better than the OneIsAll which I have seen my cats get in when it’s halfway upside down in cleaning mode. Litter robot is best at this. Weighing: I have 3 cats. 2 which are very close in weight and I think it’s still learning. I put a camera above and I correct the name assignments. Litter robot no better, even with the camera as my 2 boys are hard to tell apart Overall: I am really happy with the litter box. I had purchased 2 of the OneOsAll and one failed and was refunded by Chewy. I ordered the Litter Robots because they claimed to be FSA eligible, but were not with my company. They did take them back for refund with no issue, the price point is way too high. If this other OneIsAll craps out, I’ll definitely replace it with the Neakasa.
I have just added a second cat litter box to my home. After my older cat passed away, I stored my first box. When my daughter got a kitten, I brought it back out. The kitten took to it immediately. After several weeks, my husband decided to get a companion, for the first kitten. After getting another kitten, from a local rescue, the litter box was being used a lot. I decided to purchase a second box. Both are working great. Both are quiet, so quiet that it can put it into my parlor. I now have one in my laundry room and parlor. The closed in reservoir keeps my dogs from getting into the used litter. I would recommend this product to anyone.
My cat is still getting adjusted to it so it is a bit early to leave a review. I like how it works and how it looks but the one who has to really like it is my cat Elly.
Great litter box. The open top design is great and it rotates as soon as the cats use the box without having to press a button.
So far it's working great. Luckily my cats needed 0 adjustment because this was replacing a different automatic litterbox, so they weren't startled by the movement. I appreciate the ease of cleaning as I deal with fatigue issues that make it difficult to clean heavy/bulky objects, and I also appreciate the decreased risk of litter getting caught in the motor gears (which was why my old box needed replaced).

Very easy to set up and I really like the feature that shows when it was used and by which cat (by their weight). Also, really like the litter sensor so I know how much is in there at any time!
We have 3 cats weighing 9 pounds, 13 pounds, and 15 pounds. We were worried Big Chonker wouldn't fit but he does just fine. All cats took to the new box instantly and it has been working well so far.

Works well as expected, my cats instantly used it! Connecting application was managable but differed from what im used to so I struggled a bit there. The unfolding of the tray could be a bit better shown in the instructions but overall im happy 100%

real maximum hight when in operation is 632mm. Neakasa olease check and add this dimension in specifications. is important because my wife wanted to put the litter inside a furniture piece. we were lucky as you see here! the best automatic litter. we have three!
I have a 28 lb main coon. He can use it. It’s super tight. I wish they made a bigger size. But, now cleaning litter is a dream. It’s so fast and easy that I am thinking about getting another cat. Love it

Absolutely worth every penny
I have only been using the litter box for a few days but I like Neakasa better than litter robot by Whisker. Less smell. Smaller footprint. My Siamese cat took to it right away. Notifications are super fun and helpful. So far so good. We'll see if the litter box can keep the smell away for a year or longer.
Dirty litter tray is not deep enough. I get a message or it’s blinking at least once a day. Other than that it’s good so far.

The M1 is my first automatic kitty litter box, and I genuinely dont know why I didn’t invest earlier. I was definitely still skeptical of all auto litter boxes, but I caved and got one. I have been skeptical since the first ever automatic box ever came out, and just fell off on trying to even waste money on it…but now that’s it’s honestly been ~10 yearsish, I took the risk and am so happy I did. My apartment doesn’t smell like stinky kitty peepee or stale/fresh poops anymore!!! It’s so easy to change the waste baggies, and it holds a good amount. I have two cats, one is a big girl 12lbs, and has big ole pee bricks when I clean the litter box, it definitely can handle her large pees and stinkooo poop.
Works great for my two cat household. I definitely see me cleaning less however the litter traction does fall outside of the pad and stepstool as well. Overall, I will definitely buy again and I recommend this product!
We’ve had this box for four weeks. Works well functionally, but the drawer for storing used litter is quite shallow; hence, the machine flashes red frequently because the used litter piles up in the mile and appears to be full. You have to pull out the drawer on day 2 or 3 and shake it to spread out the used litter. The box lasts 5 days for our one cat. After that, we toss it and put in a new bag. We are snowbirds, so we need to get a second box for our home in Florida. We are going to try a different brand in Florida and see if we can get a machine with a deeper drawer for the used litter. Ideally, I would like this to last one week before requiring a change.

Easy install
I have a front pee'r and it's not quite high enough on the side. It runs down the front. I use pee pads on the step and under the unit to catch anything, and the positive is it's so easy to wipe the entire globe after she goes. 4 stars for the ease of clean up, would be 5 if I could get the side she pees on higher.

Just bought this as my second one. The old one is still in full time use. We also have a Litter Robot 4. Hopefully that tells you what you need to know :) Truthfully I can't say one is better than the other, they have different benefits. What I can say is I was strongly consdering the LR5 pro with it's AI camera until I found out that was a subscription-only feature, and that sealed the deal for buying another M1 at half the price. At its primary service, the Neakasa works just as well and it's open top is more suitable for some cats. For the price difference and not trying to shove a subscription down my throat, I happily bought a second unit and my cats are enjoying both of them. Some of them actually hang around just to watch it cycle, or run in the room whenever they hear it start.
